The 2nd Bn. 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment publicly recognized the achievements and excellence of several of its Paratroopers. Jumpmaster armbands were presented to Cpt. Agustin Gonzalez, the commander of Company C, and Staff Sgt. Nicholas Cottril, also with Company C.
The Army Achievement Medal was presented to two Paratroopers who achieved the status of “True Blue” for receiving a “go” in every Expert Infantryman Badge event. They were 2nd Lt. Michael Steele, a platoon leader in Company D, and Sgt. 1st Class Brook Redding, the acting first sergeant of Company A.
A coin was presented to Staff Sgt. Michael Hanson of Company B for earning a place on the Commandant’s List for the Senior Leader’s Course. A coin was also presented to Spc. James Whitehead of Company A, for earning a place on the Commandant’s List for the Warrior Leadership Course.
Twenty-three other Paratroopers were recognized for their outstanding contributions during recent platoon STX.
